Standing with Our Immigrant Neighbors: How Religious Leaders & Congregations Can Make a Difference

Saturday, October 4 • 9:00–11:00 AM (HST)

Please join us to hear Rev. Dr. David Vásquez-Levy discuss how religious leaders and congregations can support and minister to immigrants during the second Trump administration. A nationally acclaimed leader in immigration justice, Dr. Vásquez-Levy blends theological depth, faith-based advocacy, and institutional leadership to inspire religious communities toward compassionate action.

 His presentation will be via zoom and followed by in-person strategy sessions focused on effective and collaborative steps specific to each island. During the strategy sessions, ministers and lay-leaders on Maui can brainstorm and plan concrete ways to support immigrants in their congregations and communities.

We would like all of our community to join us in learning ways we can help our immigrant neighbors, particularly in this time that is so fraught with danger for them.
